I started focusing very seriously on doing business online a few short months ago. I didn't have a clear vision of what exactly I would do, or how I would do it, but I knew one thing for sure. I wanted to be able to consistently make money from home, or from wherever I decided I wanted to be.

Through this process of researching online business ideas, I discovered that there are a number of methods that had never occurred to me. Here are 7 very simple ways to make money from home.

1. eBay
eBay is one of the older strategies and has been around for many years now. A big advantage to selling on eBay is the ability to very easily make some quick cash. On the down-side, it has become a very crowded space for business. It can be done, but it's much more difficult to run a full-time business here than it used to be. Bottom-line, if you need some fast money and you have something valuable collecting dust, you may have more success with eBay than with a local garage sale.

2. Affiliate Marketing
When you decide to make money from home, it's easy to feel overwhelmed with the burden of finding a product to sell! The beauty of affiliate marketing is that you can skip this step, and simply help someone else sell an already-existing product and share the profit. There are many affiliate programs ranging from tangible goods, to information and training products. One thing to keep in mind is that you really need to have passion and confidence in the product if you really want to be successful selling it. Avoid the mistake of simply taking the first opportunity without believing in it first.

3. Amazon Store
Amazon is a great example of an affiliate opportunity. You can find just about anything you want on Amazon, and many retailers choose to use Amazon as their storefront. You can create an affiliate account with Amazon for free and simply share your affiliate links to products you believe in, and you can earn a percent commission on those sales. You can even create your own customized Amazon store to embed into your blog or website with the products of your choosing!

4. Network Marketing
Network marketing has certainly come of age and has become my personal favorite. More and more the question is changing from a skeptical "Is that one of those MLM things?" to a more casual "Which network marketing company do you work with?" One of the biggest advantages of network marketing as a way to make money from home is the residual results of your work. In other words, once you do the work you can potentially continue to get paid for years after the work is completed.

In addition, the internet tools and social media that are now available are making network marketing a more and more attractive venture. Connecting yourself with successful leaders and training is the most important ingredient to your success in network marketing.

5. Information Products
Virtually every person on this planet has a skill, life-experience, insight, or strategy that others can benefit from. By packaging that valuable asset into an accessible and sharable form such as an e-book, or an e-course. You may be surprised at not only how many people are willing to save themselves time and effort by learning from the experience of someone else, but how much they are willing to pay! Your job is to let them know you have what they need and then make it as easy as possible for them to get it!

6. Coaching
In addition to packaging your skills, expertise and insights into an information product. You can also profit from these same assets by making your time available for purchase to those same individuals. The potential price of your time in this way is much higher, but if you enjoy working one-on-one with others, this can be a great opportunity for making money from home.

7. Membership Sites
Along these same lines, another online business idea that is growing in popularity is creating valuable web-based content that is exclusively available to paying members. A big advantage of this strategy is that when people pay for something, they tend to regard it with much more value than if it were simply available for free to just anyone. In order to make this strategy successful, you need to have a creative way have offering a sample of the content, make the offer absolutely irresistible, and then exceed expectations in terms of the value of your content.
